Radishes - A Beautiful Bunch

These radishes started as a graphite drawing while I was studying at the Corcoran for my certificate in botanical art with Leslie Exton. My assignment was to draw a bouquet, something that just goes against my sense of beauty in simplicity. The radishes were one of many attempts to satisfy the requirement. I resurrected the idea of the bouquet of radishes about two years ago, probably during winter, for lack of a subject. I chose to paint it in oil, much in the method I use for watercolors, from light to dark.
